There is no official ranking of agencies for studying in Australia., So this comparison is not meant to score points: it compiles what each agency publishes about itself and compares it with official Australian records. Seven agencies work with Spanish-speaking students; six of these criteria you can check for yourself in five minutes.
Data verified on October 1, 2026. Websites change: if you are going to make a decision, check again.
The six criteria
Almost all the agencies say the same thing: free advice, personalized accompaniment, a team on-site. Those phrases don't distinguish any of them. These six do, because they are verified in a public register and are not dependent on what the agency says about itself.
- Legal entity and ABNEvery company that operates in Australia has an Australian Business Number. Find it here. abr.business.gov.au and you will see the real legal reason, when it has been active and if it is still valid. If the agency does not publish its ABN, you cannot check anything else.
- Real ageThe date of the ABN's registration is a fact. The years of experience announced on the website are an assertion. When they do not coincide, it is worth asking why: sometimes there is a legitimate previous company behind it, and sometimes there is not.
- Registered Migration Agent (MARN)Migration advice in Australia is reserved for agents registered with OMARA and Australian lawyers. An educational agency can guide you on courses, tuition fees and your student visa, which is their area of expertise. The rest is up to you: sponsorship, partner visa, skilled or permanent residence. To do that, ask who the registered agent is who will handle your case and check their MARN number The OMARA registration.
- Office with postal addressA city isn’t just an address. Being able to write down the street on a map and find the location changes things a lot if something goes wrong 17,000 kilometers from home.
- How it worksMost of them are free for the student because the schools pay them a commission. It is a legitimate and widespread model, but it creates a bias towards the schools that pay the best. The agencies that openly explain it are giving you useful information; those that just repeat «free» without saying where they live are not.
- Certification of the advisor (QEAC or PIER)These are credentials that are issued to specific individuals with a code. A logo on the website is not a certification: what matters is the name of the certified advisor and their number.

| A Leap to Australia | Un Salto to Australia Pty Ltd ABN 21 638 772 826 |
2020 | Burleigh Heads (without a street) | Not published | Only Australia | Yes — «we finance ourselves through the schools» |
«Not published» means that we haven’t found it published on their website as of October 2026; it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.
Only three of the seven allow you to check who is legally authorized behind the scenes. Go Study and Experience Australia publish their agent’s MARN; we don’t have our own agent and we refer to two registered agencies whose numbers you can verify. The other four don’t publish any, so you’ll have to ask before hiring.
Salto announces more than 10 years with an active ABN since 2020. We started in Sydney in 2009 and incorporated the Australian company in 2015: we published both dates so that no one has to guess where the figure comes from. Go Study publishes 19 years on its Spanish website and 18 on the Australian one. They are not necessarily misleading — there may have been previous companies— but they are questions worth asking.
Only Go Study and Un Salto openly say that they make their living from school fees. This is the model of almost all of them, including us, and saying this does not detract from it: it clarifies why the counseling can be free.
How to check it yourself
You don't need to trust this table or any other one. With the name of an agency, you can verify the essential information in five minutes.
- Find your ABN. Enter abr.business.gov.au, Write the company name and look at three things: the legal name, the date of incorporation and whether the state is Active.
- Check with the immigration agent. If they are going to advise you on a visa other than the student visa, ask for the name and MARN number of the person who will advise you and look them up. The OMARA registration.
- Check that the course is registered with CRICOS. This is the official record of courses that are valid for the student visa: cricos.education.gov.au. If the course is not available, it is not valid for the visa.
- Request the total cost in writing. Registration, course, OSHC insurance, visa fee, accommodation, flights and any agency fees. On one sheet.
- Ask how they charge and what happens if you change schools. If they make their living from commissions, that's normal, but ask what alternatives they offer and whether they work with the center you're interested in.
- Find the address on a map. That the location exists, that the reviews are from that listing, and that the phone number corresponds to the country of the office.
Two warning signs. No agency can guarantee you a visa or a job: anyone who promises it is promising something they have no control over. And with a student visa the usual limit on working during the school term is 20 hours a week. 48 hours per fortnight, So don't plan your budget assuming that you'll keep working.
What fits with every profile
None of these agencies are the best in an abstract sense. It depends on your case, and these four situations cover most of them.
Your case has a migratory component
Pairing, sponsorship, residency or a complicated visa history. Here the question is not which agency, but who the registered agent is. Experience Australia publishes MARN 1384863 and Go Study publishes MARN 2318263; with the others, including us, you will have to request it. Always ask for it and check it before paying anything.
You just want to go to Australia and value a big network
Go Study is the oldest of the group, with nine offices published in six countries and 45,000 students enrolled. Experience Australia has been focused on Australia since 2004 and publishes more credentials than almost anyone else, with a much smaller structure.
You are comparing destinations and haven't decided yet
Multidestination works better for you: YouTooProject, Dingoos, Nómadas Experience and we also work in Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and Malta. If an agency only works in Australia, their advice about whether Australia is your best option is clearly biased.
You want a physical office where you can be attended to in Spain
Go Study has Madrid and Barcelona, Experience Australia has Madrid, and we have Madrid. The others operate from Australia or remotely, which isn’t worse, but it changes how things get resolved when things go wrong.
A note about us, Because this article is published by Australian Way and it would be absurd to pretend otherwise. We do not have a migration agent on staff: we manage the student visa and its renewals ourselves, and we refer sponsorship, partners and skilled workers to two registered agencies., Valiant Migration (MARN 1798592) and RC Migration (MARN 0745660). We prefer to say it like this, with the numbers in front, rather than leaving it in a «certified by MARA» that no one can verify.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if an agency to study in Australia is reliable?
Check six things in public records: your ABN at abr.business.gov.au, that the age you advertise matches the date you registered your ABN; the MARN number of the immigration officer at portal.mara.gov.au, which should list a postal address and not just a city; that it explains how it is funded; and the QEAC or PIER code of the certified advisor. No agency can guarantee you approval of a visa or a job.
What is a MARN number and why does it matter?
The MARN is the registration number of a migration agent with the OMARA. Migration advice in Australia is reserved for registered agents and Australian lawyers. An educational agency can guide you on courses, registrations and your student visa, but for sponsorship, partner visa, skilled or permanent residence, there must be a registered agent behind it, whether their own or an associated one.
Why are the agencies for studying in Australia free?
Because Australian schools and institutions pay a commission for each enrolled student. It is a legitimate and widespread model, but it creates a bias towards the schools that pay the best. It is advisable to ask the agency what alternatives it offers and whether it works with the institution you are interested in.
How many hours can you work with the student visa?
With the subclass 500 student visa, the usual limit during the school term is 48 hours per fortnight. Outside of the school term there is no limit. It is not advisable to plan the budget of the trip assuming that you can support yourself solely through work.
Is it worth going with an agency or doing it on my own?
You can do it on your own: enroll directly at the school and submit your visa yourself. The agency provides assistance when you don’t know the system, when you want to compare several schools without writing to each one, or when you need support upon arrival. Since the cost for you is usually zero, the real question isn’t whether to use an agency, but which one and with what transparency it operates.
Do you want us to review your case?
We tell you which course fits your profile, which visa is right for you, and how much everything costs. No commitment or cost required.
